SuperTots is a division of Skyhawks Sports Academy! With over 40 years of offering skill-based sports opportunities for children, Skyhawks is best known for beginner to intermediate instruction that helps build confidence in young players preparing them for their next step in sports. SuperTots classes feature a unique, game-based curriculum with a big emphasis on child development. Classes are available for ages 18 months to 5 years old with opportunities across 7 different sports. Our mission is to teach life skills through sports and we operate in hundreds of communities across nearly 30 states, providing quality sports instruction to thousands of children every year.
Job Summary
We are looking for someone we can invest in! The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with young children and openness to teaching sports like soccer, baseball, basketball, and football in a fun, game-based environment. This position will work independently and manage children as young as 18 months and as old as 5 years in an active class setting. For the right candidate, this is an ideal part-time job with great hourly pay and awesome intrinsic rewards. All candidates are thoroughly trained and must complete both employee onboarding and a criminal background investigation.
Responsibilities
As a SuperTots Sports Program Director, you will:
Instruct various age-specific classes for children 18 months to 5 years old
Follow lesson plans and implementation efforts using SuperTots curriculum
Both transport and prepare equipment each day of class
Commit to the full duration of your assignments:
Winter/Spring/Fall/Summer Seasons - You will be assigned to multiple classes during the week. Programs are offered in the mornings, and early evenings during the week and at various times on weekends. Total available work hours and workdays will vary by area. Learn more during the interview!
Manage attendance and other light administrative duties
Manage on-site customer service
Continue the SuperTots tradition by offering high quality, fun instruction to participants
Qualifications
Desire to grow as a leader and build program management experience
A high-energy, enthusiastic demeanor who can lead by example
Sports background is helpful, but not our main consideration
Flexible, patient, and adaptable
Responsible and committed to following through on assignments
Some experience working with kids
Willingness to drive to multiple job locations during the week
Desire to build experience leading sport-based child development classes
