  • Responsibilities

    As an assistant superintendent at Skyline Capital Builders (SCB), you are a point of contact on the jobsite between our project team and subcontractors on field activities. You will be responsible for jobsite safety, coordinating all site construction activities, quality control, reviewing constructability, supervising field personnel and managing the construction schedule to meet deadlines. This includes maintaining the highest level of quality and leading Skyline’s safety program.

    Responsibilities:

    Jobsite safety

    Help develop the overall CPM schedule with the SCB team prior to construction and managing that schedule throughout the project including the creation and maintenance of 2-4 week look-ahead schedules.

    Conduct preconstruction meetings with all subcontractors prior to beginning each phase of work.

    Conduct foreman’s meetings.

    Participate in progress meetings with the team and or owners.

    Review and assist in developing scopes of work for each subcontractor.

    Direct all field personnel and activities in accordance with project schedule through completion of final punch list.

    Ensure the highest quality workmanship is provided.

    Manage project logistics.

    Order materials and schedule necessary inspections.

    Promote jobsite safety, encourage safe work practices and rectify jobsite hazards.

    Ensure onsite activities maintain or exceed compliance with company safety policy by all employees and contractors.

    Maintain professional relationships with customers, contractors, suppliers and colleagues.

    Qualifications:

    4 years minimum of field experience: may include but not be limited to: apprentice programs, general contracting business management, or other equivalent experience.

    1 year of experience overseeing field jobsite operations for a general contractor required.

    High school diploma required.

    OSHA 30 training required.

    Basic knowledge of Microsoft Primevera Scheduling Software is a plus.

    Strong organizational skills including maintaining an organized job site and construction office.

    Excellent communication skills and ability to present ideas effectively.

    Professional interpersonal skills to work with diverse personalities.

    Must present and conduct yourself in a professional manner as a representative of our company brand and culture.

    Strong writing and effective listening skills.

    Ability to analyze problems and develop realistic and timely solutions factoring in risk, implications and cost.

    Must be active on the jobsite to interact with subcontractors and validate work in progress.

    Must comply with the provisions of our Auto/Fleet Safety Program with a current valid driver's license.
