  • Responsibilities

    Skylla Engineering is seeking a highly motivated, self driven, team player for an Engineering Technician II position for the Land Systems Integration (LSI) Tactical Vehicle Fielding Integration Support Project. The ETII will provide integration support for Repair and Replace (R&R) or retrofitting of C4ISR components on multiple tactical vehicle platforms to include the JLTV and MRAP. The duties include but are not limited to:

    • Perform Limited Technical Inspection (LTI) on incoming vehicles to identify any vehicle discrepancies/issues.

    • Using an In Process Inspection (IPI) checklist, perform pre-system test verifications, Voltage Standing Wave Ratio (VSWR) testing, system verifications, final verifications, and closeout inspections.

    • Work from schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions, layouts or defined plans to perform installation, assembly checkout and troubleshooting functions.

    • Perform equipment assembly and installation using various types of hardware and hand tools.

    • Complete an Over-Pack Bill of Materials (OPBOM) listing upon completion of the integration.

    • Must be able to safely and properly use hand tools.

    • Must be able to read assembly drawings / diagrams.

    • Must have knowledge of cable routing and dressing.

    • Must have a basic knowledge of electrical component installation.

    • Must be able to take direction and implement the instruction given to them.

    • Must be prepared to commence travel to provide onsite technical support within 24 hours of notification.

    Education: Associate’s Degree in Engineering, Physical Science, or Formal electronics training from: Technical School, or Class A or B military school in electronics or communications, or four (4) year electronics apprentice program. Experience: Three (3) years of practical experience, to include: laboratory testing, manufacturing, or maintenance. OR Education: High School diploma or GED. Experience: Five (5) years of practical experience, to include: laboratory testing, manufacturing, or maintenance. Formal electronics training, to include: Installation Tasks, Cable Dressing, Cable Tray design, and Conduit.

    Required Experience
