  • Responsibilities

    The ideal candidate will support the Business Development team in the following areas:

    Market Research:

    • Conduct market research to identify potential clients, competitors, and emerging trends in the defense industry.
    • Monitor government procurement websites, industry publications, industry consortiums and other sources for relevant business leads, solicitations, and opportunities.
    • Analyze government legislation and budget information to assess business opportunities and develop strategies for market penetration.

    Proposal Support:

    • Assist in the preparation and coordination of RFIs, RFPs, contract modifications, SBIRs, BAAs, and other written responses.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop compelling proposals that meet client requirements.
    • Ensure all proposal documentation is accurate, compliant, and submitted within specified deadlines.

    Relationship Building:

    • Cultivate and maintain relationships with existing clients and potential customers to understand their needs and preferences.
    • Attend industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events to expand professional network and promote company offerings.
    • Act as a liaison between clients and internal teams to facilitate communication and address any issues or concerns.

    Administrative Support:

    • Provide administrative support to the Business Development team, including scheduling meetings, organizing travel arrangements, and maintaining contact databases.
    • Prepare reports, presentations, and other materials for internal and external stakeholders as needed.
    • Assist in the development and implementation of business development strategies and initiatives.

    Office hours are flexible, but in this role there is expectation of core hours and meeting attendance. Most work is performed remotely with a geographically dispersed team. This position is located in the Washington D.C. area. Some travel may be required on an as needed basis, but not often.

    Must be a U.S. citizen. Security Clearance preferred.
