Job Summary:
The Slab Photo & Inventory Assistant is responsible for capturing accurate, high-quality photos of stone slabs and maintaining an organized, up-to-date inventory database. This role supports the sales, production, and purchasing teams by ensuring real-time visibility of available material and helping maintain the visual integrity of the slab yard.
Key Responsibilities:
Slab Photography:
Take clear, consistent photos of incoming and existing slabs.
Ensure lighting, angles, and backgrounds meet company standards.
Upload and label photos into the inventory system or shared platform.
Inventory Management:
Tag slabs with correct information upon arrival (material type, size, thickness, lot number, etc.).
Update the inventory system with accurate slab details (dimensions, condition, location).
Conduct regular slab yard audits to confirm slab count and condition.
Organization & Maintenance:
Maintain slab yard organization by grouping materials properly.
Identify and report damaged or misplaced slabs to management.
Help relocate slabs for better access or layout when needed.
Team Support:
Work closely with purchasing, sales, and fabrication departments to meet material needs.
Respond promptly to slab photo or inventory requests from office or remote teams.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in a stone or construction-related warehouse preferred.
Basic photography knowledge; ability to use a smartphone or camera effectively.
Familiarity with inventory systems (Stone App, Excel, or similar) a plus.
Ability to lift and move stone tags, work safely around slabs, and operate slab scanners or tablets.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus
Work Environment:
Work is primarily outdoors in the slab yard, with frequent movement around heavy materials.
Requires PPE such as steel-toe boots, gloves, and safety glasses.
Exposure to dust, noise, and varying weather conditions.
