Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist with or perform pre-test setup, including the installation of dash panels, interior components, car seats, airbags, and other safety devices.
- Use coordinate measurement tools such as FARO arms to accurately position crash test dummies (ATDs) according to customer specifications.
- Complete all pre- and post-test tasks, including detailed photography and documentation such as check sheets and ATD forms.
- Follow established work instructions and test procedures precisely, and assist in developing additional protocols as needed.
- Maintain organized tracking of pre- and post-test components and equipment; support coordination efforts with customers to manage part inventories.
- Contribute to a clean, safe, and efficient test lab environment by following 5S principles.
- Collaborate professionally with the Sled Team, internal teams, and external customers to achieve testing objectives.
Qualifications and Competencies:
- Associate's Degree in Engineering Technology or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience or a combination of education and hands-on work.
- Knowledge and experience with mechanical and electrical systems, instrumentation, and calibration processes.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with proficiency in using a variety of hand and power tools.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering test plans, specifications, and testing procedures.
- Exceptional attention to detail with strong problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Professional demeanor with a team-oriented attitude and high integrity.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel.
