    Sleep Medicine & Pulmonology Advanced Practice Provider (APP) near Denver, CO

    Position Summary

    Immediate opportunity for an experienced Sleep Medicine & Pulmonology Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant specializing in the evaluation, diagnosis, and management of patients with sleep disorders and pulmonary conditions. This opportunity will allow the right NP or PA to work closely with the sleep lab for both outpatient and inpatient care which allow for further diagnose and assist patients with complex sleep-related concerns.

    This role emphasizes patient-centered care, evidence-based practice, and close coordination with sleep labs, respiratory therapy, and multidisciplinary teams.

    Key Responsibilities

    Sleep Medicine

    • Conduct comprehensive sleep evaluations, including detailed sleep histories and physical examinations
    • Assess and manage patients with sleep-related disorders
    • Review, interpret, and document sleep study results (polysomnography, home sleep testing) in collaboration with supervising physicians
    • Initiate, manage, and adjust PAP therapies (CPAP, BiPAP, ASV), including compliance monitoring and troubleshooting
    • Provide patient education on sleep hygiene, PAP adherence, and treatment options
    • Coordinate care with sleep lab staff, durable medical equipment (DME) providers, and respiratory therapists

    Pulmonology

    • Evaluate and manage common pulmonary conditions, including:
      • Asthma
      • COPD
      • Interstitial lung disease (as applicable)
      • Chronic cough and dyspnea
    • Perform and interpret pulmonary function tests (PFTs) as appropriate
    • Develop and manage treatment plans, including medication management and follow-up care
    • Monitor disease progression and treatment response

    Qualifications

    Required

    • Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
    • 2 plus years of Sleep Medicine and Pulmonary experience
    • Current, unrestricted Colorado state licensure or eligible to obtain one
    • National board certification (AANP, ANCC, or NCCPA)
    • DEA license (or eligibility)

    Preferred

    • Prior experience in Pulmonology and/or Sleep Medicine
    • Experience with PAP therapy management and sleep study workflows
    • Familiarity with sleep lab operations and DME coordination
    • ACLS or BLS certification (as required by practice)

    Schedule & Work Environment

    • Outpatient-based practice with potential inpatient consults
    • Typical clinic hours; minimal call responsibilities
    • Collaborative team environment with physicians, APPs, respiratory therapists, and sleep technologists

    Compensation & Benefits (Practice-Specific)

    • Compensation Range: $115,000 – $145,000 annually, commensurate with experience, training, and regional market factors
