As a Sales Representative, do you prefer to just sell or also handle aspects of the operations? We will consider either approach. Working as a problem solver, managing and making quick decisions, and building your book of business.
THE FOCUS OF THIS ROLE IS TO GENERATE REVENUE I.E. SALES IN OUR 3PL DIVISION, DUTIES WILL INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
Consistently hunt for new customers and focus on a good fit.
Qualify customers
Lead and provide outstanding service
Present the needs of your customers to the operation in ways that meet our policies and procedures
Handle customer inquires
Plan and conduct Inside and Outside Sales and arrange meetings
OTHER POSSIBILITIES FOR THOSE WHO PREFER TO BE INVOLVED IN THE OPERATIONS SIDE OF OUR INDUSTRY
Source and Qualify Carriers
Negotiate competitive rates
Enter and Dispatch loads, instruct Carriers
Prepare all necessary documents involved in transporting cargo
Track & Trace with support from other team members
Ability to provide after-hours and weekend support when necessary
Form mutually beneficial carrier/broker relationships
Manage the approval of your shipments to accounting on time, with supporting documentation
It is important to note that Slingshot Brokers, Inc focuses on quality business and excellent top-level service within a team-oriented environment. Therefore, for the role of Fright Broker - or Sales Representative we require an exceptional individual focused on client first service, quality partner carriers and freight leadership with the ability to work effectively as part of a team. NOTE: we are prepared to start up with an additional support person if warranted.
Successful applicants must have a solid understanding of the transportation industry, MINIMUM OF 5 YEARS FREIGHT BROKER, SALES AND/OR LOGISTICS COORDINATOR EXPERIENCE, a professional approach and be proficient in MS Office. MUST HAVE AN EXCEPTIONAL CUSTOMER PORTFOLIO.
