SUMMARY:
The S&K Gaming Slot Technician inspect, maintain, and repair gaming machines. The Slot Technician is responsible for assisting with all installations, testing, repair, and maintenance of gaming machines. Assists Slot Attendants, Dual Slot Supervisor/Slot Attendant and Slot Manager who encounter complex problems and malfunctions while working on the floor. Identify and shut down and remove from service all machines that malfunction and cannot be quickly repaired or that are in need of replacement parts not readily available. This position will adhere to all gaming rules and regulations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for maintenance, repairs install and general operation condition of machines, electronic boards, bill acceptors on the casino floor for both properties
Perform assigned casino department activities in accordance with the policies and procedures prescribed in the Minimum Internal Controls (MICS) and Tribal Internal Controls (TICS)
Act as host and answer customer concerns questions and investigate and resolve customer complaints regarding machine issues
Troubleshoot machines and operating accounting system
Perform RAM clears and option gaming machines
Install, remove, convert, and swap gaming machines when needed
Interface with gaming management and vendors to provide feedback regarding system issues and or variances
Utilizes time management, organization, recordkeeping methods to ensure in day-to-day operations
Maintains excellent working relationships with all Federal, State and Tribal Regulatory Commissions and other agencies as may be applicable to ensure the gaming operations are in compliance with regulations
Technicians are also responsible for periodic maintenance and service calls
During routine inspections, gaming technicians may look for potential malfunctions, such as loose wires
Slot Technicians will also test equipment like buttons to ensure that they are working properly
Required to assist customers and casino personnel with gaming machine issues, including answering technical questions and moving equipment around the casino.
Maintaining a log of repair work and noting problematic machines
Knowledge of all gaming equipment at both facilities
Ability to check last games and last bills on different manufacturers of slot machines
Ability to work effectively with casino staff
Maintain good working relations through all channels of supervisors and employees
Maintains an open line of communication by engaging in staff meetings
Held accountable, to a very high degree, for the accuracy and thoroughness of departmental functions and efficiencies.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
High School diploma or GED equivalent is required.
One to six months related experience and/or training.
Must be mechanically inclined and have knowledge of electrical equipment and know how to use tools
The ability to read English and understand either written or verbal instructions is required.
CERTIFICATES/LICENSES & REGULATIONS:
Required to complete Title 31 Bank Secrecy Act (Anti-Money Laundering) certification annually .
Required to watch Customer Service video annually.
Required to watch Sexual Harassment video.
Must complete the gaming application and fingerprint process.
Required to obtain and maintain gaming license from the CSKT Tribal Gaming Commission annually.
Must possess a valid Montana driver’s license and be insurable under the company’s insurance .
This individual will be required to successfully pass a pre-employment drug test and as a condition of employment will be subject to random drug testing.
