The Equipment Mechanic is the backbone of our field operations. You will be responsible for the diagnostic troubleshooting, proactive maintenance, and rapid repair of a diverse fleet of landscaping and construction equipment. Your goal is simple: minimize downtime and ensure our crews have safe, high-performing tools to deliver excellence to our clients.
Diagnostics & Repair: Rapidly troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical failures in 2-cycle and 4-cycle engines.
Preventative Maintenance: Execute routine service intervals (oil changes, filters, belt tensioning, and blade sharpening) while rigorously inspecting safety discharge shields and kill switches.
Fleet Oversight: Maintain digital or physical service logs for all assets to track lifetime maintenance costs and schedules.
Inventory & Parts Management: Source and pick up parts from local vendors; manage shop inventory levels to ensure "high-wear" items are always in stock.
Mobile Support: Perform emergency field repairs to keep crews operational and minimize mid-day travel back to the shop.
Facility Stewardship: Maintain a clean, organized, and OSHA-compliant shop environment and equipment yard.
Operational Support: Assist with seasonal demands, such as preparing and maintaining snow removal equipment or participating in emergency weather response.
You will be expected to maintain a wide array of equipment, including but not limited to:
Handhelds: Blowers, line trimmers, and chainsaws (Stihl, Echo, etc.).
Mowers: Zero-turns, stand-ons, and walk-behinds (Exmark, Scag, Wright).
Heavy Machinery: Compact tractors and skid steers (Kubota, Bobcat, John Deere).
We value mechanics who take pride in their workspace. You aren't just fixing machines; you are the engine that keeps our entire production team moving. We offer a steady workflow, organized shop space, and the autonomy to manage your maintenance schedule.
