    Small Fish Big Fish Swim School - Jensen Beach is actively seeking an Aquatics Leader to help with the day- to - day involvement of the swim program and lessons, daily operations of the facility, and connections with the students, clients and community.

    As an Aquatics Leader you are responsible for assisting the Aquatics Director with the daily operations of Small Fish Big Fish Swim School. You will lead and train our swim teachers, utilizing our child centered procedures and methods. You will be an integral part of our team, having an impact on staff and class management, growth and development of the team, safety and community outreach. We are looking for someone who has a passion for the water and working with children while also being highly organized, dependable and open to feedback. As an aquatics leader you will report to the Aquatics Director/Manager conducting swim lessons to all age groups and providing support throughout the pool deck as needed.

    This is a full-time position that requires afternoon/evening and weekend shifts. This position is located in Jensen Beach, FL

    Responsibilities:

    Organize and instruct individual students and small groups in swim lessons and aquatic safety. This includes babies and me, preschool aquatics, and levels of learning to swim courses.

    Ensure lesson objectives adhere to Small Fish Big Fish training philosophy

    Educate and enforce safety rules. Strive to prevent accidents, maintain discipline.

    Administer EAP instructions in the event of an emergency/injury

    Ability to maintain records of student progress and provide clients and parents with

    Supervise and conduct water safety and lifeguard certification training programs for aquatics personnel in water rescue and accident prevention techniques, water safety procedures, first aid, and CPR; supervise and conduct practice drills simulating emergency situations; acquire and maintain the required certification

    Provide coverage for in water swim lessons and front desk coverage.

    Accurately and courteously explain and interpret public safety rules and regulations, fees and charges, and aquatics operational procedures and programs to employees, students, and clients; firmly and tactfully enforce or refer enforcement to proper authorities

    Qualifications:

    Strong ability to professionally lead, educate and inform students, clients, and customers in all interactions

    Current Lifeguard, Water Safety Instructor, and CPO/AFO Certification,(required)

    Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends

    Experience as a certified lifeguard and youth sports instructor/coach required

    Strong passion for the water and working with children
