Protocol Test Engineers
Responsibilities and Duties
Work on the development of protocol testing for 5G/4G wireless communications developed by the 3GPP (3rd Generation Partnership Project) standards body.
Develop functional, performance and RF measurement test cases using Protocol R&D toolset or Protocol Conformance test set based of 3GPP NR Specifications 38.523-1 and 38.523-2.
Support new 3GPP 5G/4G L1, L2, L3 feature integration.
Debug customers’ 3GPP 4G/5G protocol L1, L2, L3 issues, analyze logs.
Build technical, credible relationships with key customer engineering personnel.
Work closely with customers to understand their system and testing needs and feeding requirements to R&D and product planning.
Qualifications and Skills:
Minimum Qualification: BE/ B.Tech in Electrical, Computer Science, Computer Engineering
Preferred Qualification:
Ability to do protocol tests, data communication tests or RF tests
Experience in mobile communications system, testing process in software development activities and debugging issues.
Requires overview knowledge of LTE (NAS, L3, L2 and L1)/VoLTE related technical areas, such as from 3GPP LTE or SIP/RTP/IMS.
Requires some extent of knowledge of RF.
Experience/knowledge to use RF/Call test box, Protocol simulator test box and spectrum analyzer are preferable.
Excellent Python/Perl, C# programming skills
Familiarity with WireShark
Good team player
