    Job Description

    SmarkLabs is an award-winning full-stack marketing agency that helps brands scale efficiently through on-demand services that blend tech, creative, and strategy.

    In this role, you will operate as a skilled Wordpress developer, developing WordPress CMS and HubSpot CMS-based websites (primarily Wordpress to start). You will be the "go-to" resource for Wordpress related projects and support.

    You will also be integral to working with contract developers related to projects and support.

    THE DAY-TO-DAY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Implement new or updated "pixel perfect" web pages based on designs (XD or PSD).
    • Lead the development of new website implementations while collaborating with designers and developers.
    • Fix and troubleshoot Wordpress related support requests.

    General Responsibilities:

    • UNDERSTAND CLIENT NEEDS AND WHO THEY ARE AS A COMPANY.
    • ADHERE TO PRODUCTION SCHEDULES AND WORK UNDER TIGHT DEADLINES.
    • WORK WELL WITH COLLEAGUES, CLIENTS, CONTRACTORS, AND VENDORS.
    • ENHANCE SKILL SET TO KEEP UP WITH MODERN UI AND UX TRENDS AND TECHNIQUES.
    • RESEARCH PROCESSES TO OPTIMIZE EFFICIENCY.
    • RESEARCH NEW TRENDS IN DEVELOPMENT AND KEEP SMARKLABS CURRENT ON BEST PRACTICES.
    • ADVANCE SMARKLABS WEBSITE CAPABILITIES.

    A STRONG CANDIDATE MUST HAVE:

    • BA/BS Degree.
    • 2-3 years of professional Web Development experience
    • 2-3 years of working on WORDPRESS DIVI THEME.
    • Ability to learn and master developing sites on the HubSpot CMS
    • Understand basic DNS properties and assist in launching websites.
    • Experience with website analytics, search engine optimization techniques, social media tools, and other online marketing strategies a plus, but not required.
    • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
    • A willingness to learn, help out and go the extra mile.
    • Be driven and determined to continually grow as a person and as a professional.
    • Take initiative: Identify opportunities for improvement and take them to the next level without being told.
    • Be flexible and adaptable in managing your time and schedule in a rapidly-changing environment.
    • A positive attitude in everything you do.
    • Superior communication skills, incredible writing skills, strong listening skills, and excellent quantitative skills.
