POSITION SUMMARY
SmartChain Solutions is seeking a high energy, rock-star to lead our Outside Sales. We need an extremely motivated and fast-paced leader, who desires to join a growing startup and help build a successful and enduring organization. Oil and Gas experience is not necessary but outside sales and an entrepreneurial business acumen is a must. Compensation is salary and commission based with no cap on earnings. This is a temporary position with the possibility to remain employed in a full-time capacity after a period of 90 days.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Always demonstrates highest ethical and professional standards
- Manages sales engagements from prospect research, cold calling, qualifying lead/fit assessment, develop a proposal and execute contracts to close the deal
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
- Serves customers by determining customer needs and tailoring the service offering accordingly
- Adjusts content of sales presentations when penetrating different markets
- Focuses sales efforts by studying existing and potential customers
- Keeps management informed by submitting activity and results reports, such as weekly work plans, and monthly and annual territory analyses
- Monitors competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, services, and new services
- Recommends changes in product, service, and policy by evaluating results and competitive developments
- Resolves customer complaints by investigating problems, developing solutions, preparing reports, and making recommendations to management
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies
- Provides historical records by maintaining records on area and customer sales
QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS
- BS/BA Degree Required
- Equivalent work experience, 4+ years related experience in a similar field or sales environment
- Enjoys “startup” environment with “all hands-on deck” attitude
- Highly motivated and target-driven with a proven track record in sales
- Demonstrated skills in prioritizing, organization, and time management
- Team player with ability to work independently to drive both personal and team goals
- Ability to take initiative and confidently direct customer interactions to achieve goals
- Excellent consultative selling skills, providing a tailored approach to each engagement
- Proficiency using PC, Microsoft Excel, Salesforce, PowerPoint, Outlook & LinkedIn required
- Ability to drive to or fly to various meetings/clients’ sites
- Limited overnight travel may be required
- Valid driver’s license is required
