You will be working as a floater in classrooms and helping in the daycare kitchen
We have immediate opening for a floater/kitchen staff at Kiddie Academy of Wexford. We pride ourselves on serving nutritious, wholesome meals and snacks as well as delivering meals that kids like and will eat. This is a heat and serve kitchen, not using raw items.

Minimum Qualifications, Skills and Experience
Highly professional and dependable
Familiarity with proper conditions and food storage, the ability to understand the needs of children with food allergies, and to implement methods of food cross- contamination avoidance.
Ability to follow and prepare sufficient quantity of foods for Academy children
Possess a Food Handler’s License or willingness to obtain
At least one year of institutional cooking -- food ordering experience highly desirable
One or more years of experience working with children, highly desirable
Ability to speak, read, and write English. Basic math skills required for measuring and calculating serving portions
Essential Functions
Requires mobility and standing on feet for extended period in the kitchen.
Plans and prepares snacks and meals in accordance with posted menus and nutrition regulations.
Determines meal and snack count and distributes food to each classroom.
Removes trays and leftovers from classrooms and disposes accordingly.
Performs weekly food and supply inventory; submits list of needed items to Management.
Orders food and supply items from approved supplier, within budget set by Management.
Checks-in supply deliveries to ensure accuracy of order placed.
Ensures that all state and local health department, licensing, safety and nutritional requirements are met; follows standards of personal hygiene, safety, and sanitation and ensures that other staff in kitchen do the same.
Keeps kitchen, including appliances, cabinets and all inventory, organized and clean.
Attends and participates in staff meetings, training sessions, and academy events as requested.
