  • Responsibilities

    Job Description

    As a Smart Mobility Engineer you will be responsible for supporting the Smart Mobility team providing traffic, ITS, and technology services. The following skills and tasks are expected for this position:

    • Experience in project management including managing traffic engineering projects, client management, and contract management
    • Serves as a senior technical resource and may serve as technical advisor for team
    • Expert in traffic engineering operational analyses
    • Knowledgeable in engineering design
    • Experience in mentoring and training junior staff
    • Provides specialized technical input to studies and design for staff's specific area of expertise
    • Participates in interdisciplinary review of project deliverables
    • Performs quality control review of traffic and ITS deliverables
    • Provides input to the development of engineering budget and schedule to meet requirements
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    Minimum Requirements:

    • BA/BS + 6 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • PE license preferred
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
    • Familiarity with traffic engineering software such as Synchro, VISSIM, or HCS
    • Familiarity with ArcGIS or mapping software
    • Strong communication (written and verbal) and organizational skills
