    Job Description

    AECOM is seeking a Smart Mobility Transportation Engineer to be based in Austin, TX.

    Job Description:

    • Supports the smart mobility team in evaluating technology applications and performing corridor studies and systems engineering
    • Supports traffic analyses using a variety of software such as Synchro, VISSIM, and HCS under the supervision of a licensed engineer
    • Performs research on connected and automated vehicles (CV/AV) technology and emerging infrastructure technology to assist with project alternatives and solutions
    • Performs data analysis and alternative development as needed by the project
    • Develops presentation material such as PowerPoints to present project status, alternative development, stakeholder presentations, etc.
    • Develops a comprehensive understanding of smart mobility solutions and strategies to improve safety and mobility
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • BA/BS + 2 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
    • Engineer in Training (EIT) Certificate
    • Transportation experience

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • PE license preferred
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
    • Familiarity with traffic engineering software such as Synchro, VISSIM, or HCS
    • Familiarity with ArcGIS or mapping software
    • Strong communication (written and verbal) and organizational skills
