Our company in the Oil & Energy industry is seeking an experienced Engineering Technician to join our team. As an Engineering Technician, you will be responsible for supporting our engineering team.
Responsibilities
- Work collaboratively with engineers to support technical projects.
- Conduct on-site visits to analyze projects, examine technical data, and make recommendations.
- Prepare technical reports and document project analysis, design and testing.
- Assisting with expediting/tracking of equipment that has been ordered.
- Put together data sheets, purchase orders, and do quantity counts.
- Work with complex models, diagrams, and engineering designs and troubleshoot problems related to these.
- Monitor and record project progress, including budgets, timelines, and milestones.
- Ensure safety and regulatory compliance in all engineering projects.
- Maintain and calibrate all testing and project equipment and tools as required.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience in an engineering technician role, preferably in the oil and energy industry.
- Bachelors degree preferred. Associates degree in related technical field (Mechanical Engineering Technology, Chemical Engineering Technology, etc.) or equivalent work experience.
- In-depth knowledge of Excel.
- Bluebeam experience preferred.
- Familiarity with engineering codes and principles such as ASME, API, and NACE.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings such as P&ID, and Isometric.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to provide technical solutions under pressure.
- Strong teamwork, organizational, and communication skills.
