Our company in the Oil & Energy industry is seeking an experienced Engineering Technician to join our team. As an Engineering Technician, you will be responsible for supporting our engineering team.

Responsibilities

• Work collaboratively with engineers to support technical projects.
• Conduct on-site visits to analyze projects, examine technical data, and make recommendations.
• Prepare technical reports and document project analysis, design and testing.
• Assisting with expediting/tracking of equipment that has been ordered.
• Put together data sheets, purchase orders, and do quantity counts.
• Work with complex models, diagrams, and engineering designs and troubleshoot problems related to these.
• Monitor and record project progress, including budgets, timelines, and milestones.
• Ensure safety and regulatory compliance in all engineering projects.
• Maintain and calibrate all testing and project equipment and tools as required.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in an engineering technician role, preferably in the oil and energy industry.
• Bachelors degree preferred. Associates degree in related technical field (Mechanical Engineering Technology, Chemical Engineering Technology, etc.) or equivalent work experience.
• In-depth knowledge of Excel.
• Bluebeam experience preferred.
• Familiarity with engineering codes and principles such as ASME, API, and NACE.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings such as P&ID, and Isometric.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to provide technical solutions under pressure.
• Strong teamwork, organizational, and communication skills.
