COLLEGE GRADUATE CONSULTANT JOB DESCRIPTION

YOUR ROLE:

Smartbridge is seeking bright, talented graduates as associate level Technical Consultants to join our Houston team! You will be trained on Salesforce to become a Certified Salesforce Developer. 

As a Technical Consultant at Smartbridge, you will work on various consulting projects to help clients implement business strategies by delivering innovative technology, people, and process solutions. In this position, you will work on the design and implementation of enterprise systems, gain experience while contributing to the project in a multitude of different roles, including creating technical specifications, configuration, programming/application development, testing, and deployment. At a graduate level, our consultants work with others across the business to understand customer needs and develop high-value solutions. 

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

There is never a typical day at Smartbridge, but that’s why people love it here! As a new consultant, you’ll test out new ideas with clients in your own unique way. Your specific responsibilities will vary based on your alignment, but you may find yourself:

• Brainstorming with clients & team members to design next-generation IT architectures, and driving delivery excellence to meet their ever-changing business needs 
• Leveraging existing and newly developed programming skills to build portions of client applications 
• Designing a common set of technology capabilities, across assessment, planning, design, and implementation 
• Developing system specifications, technical designs and software code
• Designing and developing test plans, performing unit tests, integration tests and user acceptance tests
• Creating and maintaining program and technical documentation
• Managing and documenting system configurations
• Working closely with end-users, business analysts and other stakeholders to coordinate plans and activities that affect the assigned projects
• Collaborating with client team members and clients to determine the best solutions
• Applying critical thinking to analyze and diagnose customer issues
• Facilitating and engaging in discussions with clients and team members to discuss potential solutions, and implementing solutions that are most appropriate in a timely and quality manner
• Traveling to client locations for projects as needed

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

• Must have a desire to become a Salesforce Developer 
• 1-2 years of experience using Java
• Knowledge/experience with JavaScript, HTML, CSS
• Strong database fundamentals and 1-2 years of experience using SQL
• Demonstrate strong analytical skills and develops solutions to problems independently and through facilitated team discussions
• Learn new concepts and technologies fast and apply in an agile manner
• Ability to interact and build long-term business relationships with all levels of professionals
• Excellent written and verbal communication, as well as time management skills
• Strong affinity to technology
• Self-motivated and shows initiative
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint)
• Self-starting - take independent action and goes beyond what the job or situation requires

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Knowledge or exposure to Agile development methodologies
• Experience in programming/application development with ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems

• Bachelor’s degree (Computer Science, Information Systems or related field preferred) with a business minor (BBA or Finance); knowledge of theories, principles, and concepts typically acquired through completion of a bachelor's degree
