This is an internship role in SmartThings New York-based audio-video engineering team. The AV team is building highly scalable software to support a number of ambitious new IoT product features. We are looking for knowledgeable and driven talent with an interest in IoT, networking, video programming and/or mobile development. Youll work in an ecosystem of mobile apps, smart embedded devices, cloud-based backend services, and cutting-edge consumer electronics, contributing to the evolution of the Internet of Things. Job Responsibilities: Knowledge of at least one programming language (C, Python, Kotlin, Java, Swift, etc.) Software Development using 'Internet of Things' standards and IP based internet protocols (standards and protocols can be learned on the job) Testing and debugging embedded electronics Ensuring documentation is up to date Development on Linux/Unix Platforms Please note that the above are responsibilities for a general engineer.
