We are seeking an experienced business to business (B2B) sales professional for our expanding business in Riverside and San Bernardino Counties.

    Responsibilities include developing and executing the sales strategy from identifying prospects to closing deals. You will target and identify potential customers, show them how our service dramatically reduces their dumpster hauls (consequently saving them significant money), and manage the sales process to close. Our customers are in varied industries, including manufacturing, shipping & logistics, residential and commercial construction, to name a few. Virtually any customer with an open top dumpster is an eligible candidate for our services.

    This position typically works an 8-hour Monday-Friday work week in a 100% remote office environment in San Bernardino and surrounding areas. Travel is required to meet with prospective clients in the San Bernardino County and Northeastern parts of Riverside County areas.

    At Smash My Trash, that is exactly what we do! Our innovative and proprietary truck has a “Smasher” mounted on the back. We pull up to open top dumpsters and literally “Smash” the trash, reducing it by up to 70%! This sets a chain of events that saves our customers money and helps the environment. More compacted waste means less dumpster hauls = money saved by our customers! Less dumpster hauls mean less back and forth to the landfill, which helps our environment. It is a true win/win! We service clients by saving them money!

    Responsibilities

    • Creating customer proposals, presenting them to prospective customers and following up to complete the contract and sale.
    • Setting face to face appointments, cold calling, maintaining customer information, closing contracts.
    • Maintaining client relationships to ensure long-term happiness for our customers.
    • Working as a team member to facilitate SMASH demos to prospects with our Smash My Trash truck driver/operator.
    • Utilizing marketing material to help create leads for your routed business.
    • Act as a brand ambassador at local associations, shows and events. • Maintain an accurate and up to date sales pipeline utilizing CRM software, email and other provided tools.
    • Demonstrate complete reliability and accountability.

    Qualifications

    • Minimum 3+ experience in outside B2B sales or similar experience
    • A track record of achieving monthly sales goals
    • Driven and energetic with a growth mindset
    • Goal oriented with a strong sense of urgency and client service mentality
    • Being flexible, a consummate team player who can collaborate with others
    • Strong oral and written communication skills
    • Strong work ethic
    • Ability to use technology – You will be using email, software services, writing reports, and proposals to prospective and existing customers
    • Interest in growing your career with additional responsibilities
    • High School Diploma or equivalent

    Sales meetings will take place on the customer's premises. Local travel is expected; reliable transportation required

    Fear, unwillingness, or hatred of "cold calls" should be a good sign this is not the opportunity for you. We close over 70% of our prospects, and virtually all of those sales are cold calls. Making a brief introduction of our innovation is very different from a commodity cold call - trust us. From phone to email to LinkedIn to physical drop in, we have multiple sales approaches that work. They are all, ultimately, a form of cold introduction.
