Smashtech has had unprecedented growth since it began as a 2 person team less than 6 years ago. We've achieved over 50,000% growth and currently have 50+ employees, and we're not stopping now. In this role, you will be a key driver for change within our organization. 

If you have years of experience but get excited about rolling up your sleeves and digging into the details while looking at the big picture, this is the perfect role for you. You will have the opportunity to do something exciting--building a world-class accounting and finance process from the ground up. 

You will be partnering with the VP of Finance to build a team and make sure the fuel for our engine keeps flowing. If you're up for the challenge, read on to see if you fit the bill. JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Maintain compliance of entity structures, reporting, and tax obligations

• Run month-end close processes and fluctuation reviews

• Prepare monthly financial package and present results to founders monthly

• Manage day to day accounting operations in a hands-on manner

• Set team members up for success to grow with the business and bring on new team  members accordingly.

• Provide insights to the business and partner with the VP Finance to deliver the right message to the organization through the monthly forecast process

• Protect the business and assets through implementation of a control framework

• Maintain ERP and other support systems and make recommendations/lead implementation for new platforms

• Dig into transaction flows, evaluate processes, and recommend best in class solutions to 

• Meet business's rapid growth objectives

WHAT MAKES YOU AWESOME:

• 5+ years in accounting and finance
• Experience in ecommerce, consumer packaged goods, direct response marketing, subscription businesses, direct to consumer, or health and beauty industry (>2 preferred)
• Experience working in a growing startup environment
• Experience implementing ERP and/or automated solutions
• Experience as a manager
• High EQ
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with fluctuating priorities and deadlines.
• CPA or MBA preferred
• Big 4 experience a plus
• Capable of leading teams and the organization by providing excellent support and insight into the business. You will be partnering with other departments to make sure they have the information they need to make key, strategic decisions timely.
• An expert in accounting and compliance with a desire to continue to expand your knowledge. You will be looked to for key decisions in the business around international and product expansion.
