    Our busy hotel is looking for an enthusiastic candidate with great sales skills and a customer-focused approach to be our next smerf sales manager. You will add passion and creativity to our sales team, as well as build a strategy to reach and exceed revenue targets through outside sales calls, on-site visits and sales tours, and community networking. You will also be able to increase sales by monitoring local market trends and competitor activity in order to find and close business leads. We are searching for someone with at least 2 years of hotel sales expertise, as well as a love for meeting new people and providing exceptional customer service. Responsibilities: • Attend various industry tradeshows and conferences as a professional representative of the hotel, while adhering to the budget and marketing plan requirements • Analyze local market trends and competitor activity to identify business leads • Collaborate on creating and planning the department budget with the director of sales and marketing to align overall sales objectives and strategies for the hotel • Increase new business and accelerate revenue generation by cold calling, on-site visits, and sales tours, as well as engaging your local community network • Develop and maintain connections with important group and catering accounts in order to maintain and expand our market share Qualifications: • Must possess a high school diploma or GED and a bachelor’s degree in business or a similar major is desired • Must have previous sales experience working in the hospitality industry • Outstanding organizational skills and time management • Exhibits superior communication, negotiation, and interpersonal abilities • 2 or more years of hotel sales experience • Must have hotel experience
