    We are looking for a Quality and Safety Specialist for our Worthington, Ohio office.  This role will drive all clinical process improvement and patient safety initiatives throughout the organization.  The Quality and Safety Specialist executes all quality efforts designed to improve clinical performance and maintains compliance with OFFOR Health's policies and procedures. The ideal candidate will be comfortable in a fast-paced, innovative, startup environment.

    You will be presented with multiple competing tasks, and no day will be the same.  You will be required to bring ideas to the table and execute successfully at a rapid pace.

    RESPONSIBILITIES 

    • Works closely with providers, clinicians, and organizational leadership to facilitate a commitment to clinical quality and patient safety 
    • Builds out and performs the day-to-day management of the company-wide incident reporting system, including timely review, analysis, and closure of incidents 
    • Identifies opportunities for improvement in quality assurance and compliance, and initiates solutions 
    • Liaison for regulatory agencies and accrediting bodies 
    • Coordinates training and education programs to improve the quality of patient care 
    • Collaborates with leadership to develop and implement the organization's quality and patient safety plan 
    • Improves safety and quality of care by implementing a safety management plan 
    • Collaborates with leadership to ensure that a process is in place to measure, assess, and improve clinical performance

     

    ESSENTIAL SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS 

    • High degree of professionalism and the ability to communicate with a wide variety of clinical team members 
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills 
    • Maintains confidentiality of all patient and employee information 
    • Advanced knowledge of healthcare regulatory policies (HIPPA, OSHA, etc.) 
    • Complies with all organizational policies 
    • Strong quantitative and analytical skills 
    • Detail oriented with strong organizational skills 
    • Ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities

     

    EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS 

    • Bachelor's degree in nursing or a related field required 
    • 2+ years in a non-hospital healthcare environment preferred 
    • 2+ years in a compliance, quality, or risk management role preferred
