The prime candidate will work seamlessly with both senior partners as well as administrative staff in an effort to effectively serve our clients. Responsibilities: • Determine case strategies and solutions to serve clients’ needs after analysis • Provide legal counsel to clients by analyzing their needs and determining a proper course of action • Perform research, draft briefs, pleadings, and motions • Get the appropriate legal documents ready for clients, such as brief, motions, and pleadings, as well as correspondence • Argue motions in court on behalf of clients during legal proceedings Legal Research and Analysis: • Conduct thorough legal research on nursing home abuse and corporate malfeasance related to the operation/management of nursing homes and assisted living facilities. • Analyze statutes, regulations, and case law to build compelling legal arguments. • Stay updated on changes in laws and precedents relevant to nursing home abuse litigation. Motion Practice: • Draft, file, and argue motions in state and federal courts. • Prepare and respond to pleadings, motions, and appellate briefs. • Develop persuasive legal briefs and memoranda. Case Strategy and Management: • Collaborate with the legal team to develop case strategies. • Manage and oversee all aspects of assigned cases, ensuring deadlines are met. • Conduct legal analysis to assess the strengths and weaknesses of cases from a legal strategy perspective in light of relevant statutes and case law. Qualifications: • Must be a member of your local bar association - active member preferred • Over 1 year of experience representing clients in a law firm • Decision-making, public speaking, problem-solving, interpersonal skills, and communication skills are a must • Must be able to handle heavy caseload with little supervision • Ability to use Microsoft Office is required • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. • Excellent research, writing, and oral advocacy skills. • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. • Proven success in drafting and winning motions in court. • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. • Proficient in legal research software and tools. Compensation: $90,000
