We’re searching for a personable dental hygienist to join our talented team of healthcare providers for 1-2 days per week to start. You’ll welcome patients and conduct their initial screenings, perform thorough, dental cleanings, and help dentists with examinations and procedures. Responsibilities: • Check for issues such as gingivitis, periodontitis, or caries so patients can receive care as soon as the problem is identified • Work with dentists to decide the best form of treatment for a variety of dental disease • Conduct initial screenings for patients to understand their oral health history • Disinfect all dental instruments to ensure cross-contamination does not occur • Educate patients of all ages on how to take care of their teeth through good flossing and brushing twice daily • Take x-ray images of the patients’ teeth to help dentists identify any oral health issues like cavities • Document patient visits and keep health records current • Make patients feel at ease and taken care of before, during, and after the appointment Qualifications: • Has dental hygienist licensure in the state where the job is located • At least 1-2 years of experience in dental hygiene • Capable of standing all day to assist patients • Understands HIPAA regulations and all dentistry safety guidelines • Excellent communication and customer service skills • Current with Anesthesia, X-ray, and CPR certifications Compensation: $38 - $45 hourly
