    Job Description

     

    Seeking professional, well spoken, individual who has a positive attitude and the ability to multi-task and work with a diverse group of people. To ensure that graduates have employment interviews, and that a percentage of graduates acquire employment in their field of study. Visit employers and encourage them to visit Smithwood Medical Institute and recruit graduates for employment. Also, attends community events, wellness fair and conferences with the purpose to network with other employers and recruit new students.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    This position works to collect and track statistical outcome indicators and assists with Job readiness and assistance. The Community Liaison will be responsible for working with all students to capture data that improves employment percentage, entering demographic data into a database, tracking interviews, auditing that data for completeness and accuracy, and assisting with employment assistance.

    • Match students with employment opportunities in the local community and place appropriate clients in available positions.
    • Approve ‘job-ready' clients into the applicant pool.
    • Maintain updated TWC Surveys for Student Placements: Work Experience, and Waivers
    • Maintain frequent communication and feedback with Team Lead and /or direct hire employers.
    • Create and submit all reports and paperwork.
    • Collaborate with Employment Training Instructor to identify high potential, new clients for relevant placement.
    • Frequent use of telephone calls to graduates and employers is required.
    • Schedule resume review with employers in a timely manner
    • Perform other work related duties as assigned by the Director.
    • Must be able to work flexible hours.
    • Must have a valid driver’s license.
