A DAY IN THE LIFE!
Oversized shipments? You got it! As a permit and fleet coordinator, you will be focused on our over-dimensional shipments. You will collaborate closely with internal departments including sales, operations, and drivers; you will also collaborate with customers frequently. After getting the necessary permitting information, you will process permits to keep our fleet moving!

YOUR CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prioritize communication with internal teammates and external customers regarding shipment details.
- Collaborate closely with drivers to ensure accurate shipment and routing information.
- Process permits for oversized shipments and verify documentation before submitting to drivers.
- Monitor and review permit and pilot car charges.
- Enter accurate order and shipment information into the transportation management system (TMS).
YOUR SKILLSET
- The ability to manage one's time well in a dynamic environment with shifting deadlines.
- Proven interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with a diverse range of individuals.
- Experience succeeding in an environment with detailed processes.
- Prior experience entering data into software.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Employment is contingent upon completion of the SPD employment process (including a background check).
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Prior experience within the transportation industry.
- Experience with transportation permitting.
- Prior experience with transportation management software (TMS), preferably McLeod.
SALARY AND SCHEDULE
- Salary: $60,000 per year.
- Schedule: Full-time on-site; Monday-Friday; 08:00 am – 5:00 pm.
