Overview

We are currently seeking a reliable and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a General Operator at our facility located in Kentwood, MI, 49512. As a General Operator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring cleanliness and maintaining a safe working environment within our manufacturing facility.

**Core Responsibility:

• Adhere to and uphold Food Safety, Food Defense, and cGMP policies at all times.

• Continuously monitor primary work areas to maintain optimal cleanliness and sanitation standards.

• Complete assigned tasks according to established Standard of Work and accurately document completed work.

• Enforce compliance with all OSHA Safety Regulations and Safety Rules.

• Promptly report any safety concerns to the Safety Committee.

**Duties

General Requirements

• Must possess reliable transportation and demonstrate good attendance

• Must maintain clean clothing and exhibit good personal hygiene

• Must have strong verbal and written communication skills in English

• Must consistently conduct oneself in a professional manner.

Rest Areas and Break Areas

• Ensure disposable products are regularly replenished to maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards.

• Regularly inspect and refresh waste containers to uphold a sanitary environment.

• Follow SSOP guidelines to clean and maintain lighting fixtures and ensure a sanitary environment.

Office and Conference Areas

• Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of office and conference areas to ensure they are always presentable for executives and visitors.

• Conduct all activities in a professional manner and self-monitor language and volume in these areas.

• Prioritize confidentiality of all activities, observations, conversations, and documents witnessed in these areas.

Entryways

• Regularly clean and maintain entryway areas to ensure they are always presentable for executives and visitors.

• Assist with minor cleaning and organizing duties as assigned, including but not limited to:

• Supporting set-up, tear-down, and cleaning for company-sponsored employee events (luncheons, etc.)

• Assisting in the maintenance of outside grounds (debris removal, etc.)

• Contributing to large-scale events related to assigned area of responsibility (carpet-cleaning, floor stripping, etc.)

• Performing organizational tasks as determined (re-organizing supply closets, etc.)

• Working in a Manufacturing Environment
• Demonstrating Excellent Communication Skills
• Meeting Physical Requirements

Salary info:

$18 - $19 / hr
