Operations Manager (Santa Ana, CA)

Since our client's inception in 1986, they have been a leading supplier of fiber optic and copper assemblies for voice, data, and video in the United States. They have provided connectivity solutions for international, national, and regional distributors for decades. Providing private label assemblies and contract labor to some of the largest OEM’s in the industry. They maintain both off the shelf and custom solutions for most connectivity requirements. The Engineering Manager is responsible for all engineering activities. These Include Product/process engineering, quality, project management, IT, EH and S, Lean Manufacturing, facilities, and business continuity.

Immediate Opening for an Operations Manager, Santa Ana, CA who can:

• Daily management and coordination of the Fiber and copper termination lines in area

• Management of the warehouse and logistics department

• Planning of daily orders together with Sales and customer service

• Coordination with OPS manager in East Coast to balance order/production load

• Screening of new hourly workers to ensure workforce stability

• Construction and execution of a training plan for the entire hourly workforce to ensure (1) a high quality of work and (2) flexibility towards the different manufacturing lines

• Implementation and monitoring of the compensation scheme related to employee performance and behavior

• Organizational gap analysis and recommended improvements

• Implementation of EHandS audit recommendations together with Engineering

• Creation and implementation of a KPI set to improve the speed, quality and safety, dependability, flexibility and cost of the organization

Skills and Requirements:

• Able to manage min 4 direct reports (supervisors) and min 100 hourly workers

• Spanish speaking (+90% of workforce is only Spanish speaking)

• Knowledge of Fiber and copper termination knowledge is a huge plus
