Looking for a new career opportunity with a growing engineering firm established in 1993 to provide roadway and bridge design, bridge inspection and construction engineering inspection services?! Over the years, our client has broadened its services to provide planning, environmental engineering, structural design (vertical structures), traffic engineering, traffic control and signing, hydraulic design, civil/site engineering, utility engineering and surveying!

Immediate opening for a Roadway Engineer in Raleigh, NC who possesses:

• BS in Civil Engineering or related discipline.

• North Carolina P.E. license required or the ability to obtain within 6 months of hire.

• Have at least 5+ years of roadway design experience, preferably, with a focus on NCDOT Projects.

• Proficient in MicroStation and Geopak.

• Have working knowledge of NCDOT Guidelines for Highway Design and the FHWA Roadway Design Manual.

• Experience working in a multi-disciplinary engineering environment.

Essential Functions:

• Plans, schedules, and executes all phases of a Highway Design Project.

• Performs Preliminary, Right of Way, and Final Engineering Design and reviews work of engineers, designers and drafters.

• Prepares labor and cost estimates, budgets and schedules for review by supervisor

• Prepares project specifications and bid packages.

• Coordinates work with engineers and professionals within and outside of own discipline and company.

• Perform training of junior designers, and drafters.

• Occasionally utilize skills to perform similar services for non-highway projects and projects in other states.
