Assistant Manager, Manufacturing (Murrieta, CA)

Looking to become an integral part of a primary manufacturer of polyclonal antiserum and calibrators for the turbidimetric (TIA) immunodiagnostic assay industry and for other IVD applications. READ ON!!! Our client has been in business for over 30 years and offers a custom contract antibody production program utilizing your own antigen in two USDA licensed facilities. Both of our clients brands manufacture polyclonal antisera for turbidimetric immunoassays and produce specific plasma protein calibrators and controls.

Immediate need for a Assistant Manager, Manufacturing, Murrieta CA who possess:

• Degree in life sciences or biology
• 5 years of relevant experience
• Kowledge of purification and chrometography

Key responsibilities include:

• Plans and prioritize daily and weekly assignments for manufacturing laboratory.

• Places orders for supplies for the production area and ensures inventories are adequate.

• Participates in the recruiting process and recommends hiring, promotions, pay increases, and terminations.

• Creates and/or reviews created work orders to coordinate work steps and provide work direction.

• Interprets and reviews results of tests and guides

• technicians/technologists on making adjustments.

• Coordinates with other departments to accomplish production goals.

• Reviews completed DHR’S to pass on to final QC testing.

• Provides lab training to lab personnel as needed.

• Monitors daily work activities to ensure tasks are completed in a timely manner.

• Reviews notebooks, assignments and hold weekly meeting.

• Communicates with other departments to ensure work requests are accomplished.

• Participates in other projects as assigned; corrective actions, NCRs, etc.
