Immediate need for a Sr. Design and Manufacturing Engineer Irvine, CA who possess:

• 10 or more years of relevant experience in the following: Packaging design including electronics, Heat transfer experience, Materials engineering, industrial design, DFM/DFA, Solid modeling using Autodesk Inventor or equivalent parametric modeling software. Manufacturing engineering including manufacturing and assembly process development and documentation.

• Lean six sigma background preferred.

• Management and leadership abilities supplementing technical qualifications.

• BS or higher in Mechanical Engineering with strong understanding of physics.

• MS Office with proficiency in Excel and Access.

• Ability and discipline to formulate projects and, after approved, take them to finality.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Sr. Design and Manufacturing Engineer contributes to the long-range direction of the companies overall technology function.

• This position will call on all mechanical engineering skills including knowledge of physics, industrial design, mechanics, electronics, systems, materials engineering, and thermodynamics.

• Monitors and analyzes technology and trends that could improve the company's products and performance.

• Helps to establish technology standards and communicates technical information to the organization.

• Primary and Secondary Cryogenic packaging design and manufacturing used in the logistics cold chain for life sciences.

• Sustaining Engineering; Manufacturing Engineering, Validation, and test plan development.

• Assessing market project requirements based on sales and customer input and after approval pursuing these projects Developing budgets, timescales, and specifications with clients and managers to meet marketing and sales goals.

• Liaising with suppliers for optimum relationships and results in Problem-solving.

• Undertaking relevant research for advancing company Producing and implementing designs and test procedures Measuring the performance of mechanical components, devices, and engines Testing, evaluating, modifying, and re-testing products.

• Writing reports and documentation, providing technical advice, analyzing and interpreting data, some field engineering, client education, designing new products, sustaining existing products with engineering support and design modifications, creating facility layouts, and implementing the plans.
