This position is responsible for development of complex device side software utilizing basic research skills, applying your knowledge to cutting edge products, gathering client information necessary for development of applications for projects and milestones.     Immediate opening for an Experienced Medical Device Software Engineer who possesses:

    • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or computer engineering (other engineering majors with strong specialization in computer science also welcome)
    • 5+ years of industry experience with medical devices or highly regulated products

       

      Preferred

    • Experience with medical technology industry or other mission critical industries like aerospace or automotive
    • Experience with software lifecycle management

       

      Skills and Experience:!

    • Strong analytical skills
    • Attention to detail
    • Strong experience in a high-level programming language for desktop applications, such as C++, C#, Java, etc.
    • Computer vision experience a plus
    • Experience with GUI development preferred
    • Adherent to good software development practices – version control, unit testing, release management, documentation
    • Ability to systematically evaluate a range of design or project options
    • Strong communication skills
    • Self-starter

       

      KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

    • Design and test software for use in a variety of settings, from the operating room to the manufacturing floor
    • Help evaluate and select technical solutions, including software stack and systems
    • Communicate with physicians, salespeople, engineers, and patients to understand their needs and problems and engineer solutions
    • Design and iterate on prototype solutions, gaining rapid feedback from stakeholders and modifying to address their needs
    • Determine feasibility of design options based on creativity, best practices, and industry standards
    • Ensure compliance with good engineering practice and regulatory requirements for quality, design controls, safety, and testing
    • Work with management to vet new projects and contribute to design solutions
