THEN READ ON! Our client has a full array of expertise, including advanced scientific research in the area of drug delivery systems, process development, patent analysis, and regulatory compliance!

    Immediate need for a Maintenance Mechanic in Brea, CA who possess:

    • Some vocational or community college with related coursework or equivalent experience, required.
    • 5-7 years of experience as a Maintenance mechanic or related field.
    • Experience in repair, installation, maintenance, and modifications to production equipment
    • Pharmaceutical industry experience.
    • Electronic asset management sytem experience a plus.
    • Knowledge of facility utility systems such as RO / WFI, compressed air / nitrogen and HVAC systems preferred.
    • Strong electrical knowledge of single and three phase power component troubleshooting and safe servicing techniques preferred.

    Key responsibilities include:

    • Be responsible for all production related electrical and mechanical installation, equipment optimization and preventive maintenance
    • Perform & complete unscheduled repairs when necessary to offset downtime and production delays.
    • Thoroughly cleans machines and machine parts, removing parts and reinstalling, as necessary.
    • Be responsible for understanding and review of the proper use of maintenance documentation required under cGMPs
    • Records and reports damaged, worn, or broken parts.
    • Orders and installs replacement / spare parts for machines.
    • Identifies the causes of unexpected breakdowns of machines.
    • Repairs broken machines quickly and efficiently.
    • Prepares reports documenting work performed.
    • Cleans, organizes, inventories, stocks, and otherwise maintains shop areas, parts, tools, and supplies.
    • Coordinates with managers to schedule regular maintenance on machines.
    • Makes necessary modifications and implements tests runs; confers with product manager regarding test results and makes additional alterations to machinery as required.
    • Performs other related duties as assigned.
    • Monitor work of outside contractor when installing, repairing or investigating equipment within the facility.
    • Cross train with metrology / calibration related work when necessary.
