Immediate opening for a Sales & Technical Support Engineer who possesses:
- Degree preferred, not required
- 3-4 Years Experience in a technical industry (Electronics, Batteries, Power supply, vehicle electrical systems, marine electronics etc)
- Experience with Oscilloscopes, Digital Multimeter, and other test equipment strongly preferred
- Must have excellent communication skills
- Roll up your sleeves mindset!
- Able / willing to wear many hats!
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Product Technical Support:
- Provide product support via telephone, fax or e-mail for the entire Newmar product line including discontinued models. Identify symptoms, provide troubleshooting and any recommended tests or measurements in order identify the cause or isolate the product as being faulty.
- Assist qualified field technicians & electricians in identifying and/or obtaining replacement parts.
- Provide product literature as required such as installation/operation manuals, schematic diagrams, MIB files, etc to customers.
- Provide Ethernet connectivity & software assistance.
- Perform tests and evaluations on non-conforming product and components as a result of feedback from customers, vendors, Production and Test departments.
- Work with engineering staff to determine cause of unique product application problems, assist in developing and testing solutions to the application or product issue.
- Quality Control:
- Notify the Quality Manager of any Quality issues, feedback, non-conformances and problems that are encountered.
- Enter customer feedback- positive and negative, into the ISO customer feedback form/log
- Product Development/Engineering Support-
- Assist in writing new product installation/operation manuals including making corrections, recommendations and upgrades or manual edits and revisions.
- Provide feedback to Engineering Dept. on new products including operation, non-conformances, specification conformance, etc.
