    Job Description

    REQUIRED SKILLS:

    • Strong Project Management skills; demonstrated experience managing capital projects.

    • Strong data driven technical skills.

    • Excellent communication, organizational and time management skills.

    • Advanced computer skills including MS Office and AutoCAD.

    • Basic knowledge of contract formats, Project management, and construction sequencing.

    • Knowledge of integrated business systems (Microsoft Dynamics preferred)

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

    • BS degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering or related technical degree.

    • 3-5 years of experience working in manufacturing.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

    • Track production losses and high demand cost assets and develop ways to eliminate/reduce the losses.

    • Prepare designs, scope of work, and technical documentation for manufacturing equipment projects.

    • Utilize life cycle asset management processes and develop plans to eliminate/reduce the losses.

    • Generate cost estimates and justification for improvement projects.

    • Utilize preventative/predictive/condition monitoring techniques to improve machine reliability and reduce the asset maintenance costs.

    • Strong understanding of project management, safety, and equipment procedures.

    • Participate in technical investigations, studies, and root cause analyses and provide sound engineering evaluations and recommendations.

    • Coordinate and execute a multitude of projects with minimal supervision within the allotted time and budget.

    • Controls project costs by approving expenditures; administering contracts.

    • Prepares project status reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends, recommending actions.

    • Leads and participates in formal/informal design reviews

    • Creates engineering standards

    • Track production losses and high maintenance cost assets and develop ways to reduce the cost and improve reliability.

    • Control project expenses within approved budget. Meet project timelines.

    • Equipment is successfully started up, performance tested and handed over to operations.

    • Develop and implement proactive preventative/condition monitoring techniques to improve machine reliability, extend the lifecycle of the equipment, and reduce repair costs.
