ACCOUNTS PAYABLE SPECIALIST JOB SUMMARY

We are looking for a reliable and precise professional for one of Lubbock's premier companies to properly maintain their accounts payable information. The Accounts Payable Specialist will maintain current accounts and assist in invoicing functions. We are seeking an experienced candidate who can prepare and analyze the weekly aging report and assign proper payment, maintain vendor relationships, and reconcile monthly statements.

ACCOUNTS PAYABLE SPECIALIST RESPONSIBILITIES

• Scan and enter invoices into system utilizing appropriate coding
• Monitor/maintain all vendor payment agreements and relationships
• Prepare weekly aging report and proposed weekly payment schedule
• Post electronic payments in the system and review the open purchase order report
• Review open purchase order reports

ACCOUNTS PAYABLE SPECIALIST SKILLS

• 2+ years’ experience in accounts payable
• College level Accounting courses are a plus
• Exceptional proficiency use of Microsoft Excel and Word
• Excellent attention to detail
• Strong organizational ability
• Effective corporate communications skills
• Ability to consistently meet all deadlines
