    Job Description

    The Landscape Operations Manager is responsible for managing our landscape crew(s) and overseeing all facets of a landscape job after the sale is complete. The Operation Manager will oversee multiple crew members and report directly to the Operations Director. Day-to-day responsibilities include, but are not limited to, landscape crew management, landscape equipment management, landscape design, schedule review, job planning and customer relations. This individual is an experienced manager with a background in landscaping and snow operations, and possesses strong team building and supervisory skills.

    Qualifications

    -Possess a general understanding and skill to operate multiple pieces of equipment and machinery

    -Experience in the landscape industry (minimum 3 years)

    -Experience managing and coordinating the deployment of crews and equipment

    -Possess the knowledge required to evaluate job progress and crew motivation

    -Ability to read landscape design plans and blueprints, as well as communication of that to information to the crew leader

    -Interpersonal skills- communication with customers via phone, email or in person on a routine basis

    -Experience with landscape design software, LMN software preferred

    -Chauffeur's License , commercial drivers license (CDL) preferred

    -Physical demands: While performing the job duties, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand or walk for extended periods of time. Employee regularly uses hands and fingers to touch, feel and handle. Employee will regularly stoop, kneel, bend at the waist and reach. Employee is frequently required to speak and hear. Must be able to lift 50 pounds on occasion.

    -Client Site Visits: At times it may be required to travel to and from client sites within the greater Lansing area for the purposes of site inspection or crew management.
