Associate Attorney with Real Estate Knowledge and Litigation Experience We are seeking an associate with experience in real estate and civil litigation, or a strong willingness to learn in a dynamic and ever-changing environment. The chosen applicant will join our growing VIRTUAL law firm. We are not your typical small law firm. Our enterprising firm is poised for aggressive growth. We are looking for an attorney who can hit the ground running, or learn quickly, to provide outstanding service to our clients, who are real estate investors and real estate professionals. Ideal candidates will have significant experience in general civil litigation – hopefully, unlawful detainer litigation and real estate fraud litigation. Experience with real estate transactions is a plus, as well as knowledge of lending, title, escrow, and other real estate issues. Experience handling depositions and experts is required. A desire to handle trial work is essential, and training will be provided. Spanish-speaking candidates are highly desirable.  We are looking for a team player who is willing to take ownership of a client's case involving direct contact with clients and opposing counsel, drafting pleadings, conducting discovery, handling depositions, and trial presentation. You need to have strong skills in the following areas: research, writing, courtroom presentation, the ability to communicate with clients, and use technology. We need a grinder who wants to build litigation experience. We practice throughout Southern California. Some travel within California may be required. You will likely see many different courthouses in Southern California. Skills and experience are appreciated and valued, and certainly considered, but your personality, character, intelligence, and integrity are also extremely important to us. It’s a long way to the top if you want to rock-n-roll, and we definitely expect that you will put in the work necessary to achieve outstanding results for clients. High-maintenance, humorless, self-entitled, or self-important individuals will not succeed in this position and need not apply. If you are unwilling to scan a document or return calls and emails every day, this will not be a fit. We expect excellent communication, a commitment to service, and positive, cooperative relationships. You must be licensed to practice law in California. Salary is commensurate with skill and experience. There will be opportunities for merit bonuses and referral fees. We offer paid time off. We also pay for continuing legal education, bar dues, and networking expenses. If you are looking for a career as a real estate litigator, and an opportunity to practice in a dynamic area of law, specifically real estate law and landlord/tenant law in Southern California, we look forward to reviewing your resume. Please follow these instructions. APPLICATIONS THAT DO NOT FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED. Complete the DISC assessment online. Submit your resume.
