    Real Estate Litigation Attorney - Signing Bonus! So. Cal. Realty Law, APC, seeks an associate attorney with interest and experience in both real estate and civil litigation. A strong aptitude to learn in a dynamic and ever-changing environment, and great writing skills are what we need. This position is an opportunity to learn the focused practice of real estate law with the experts. The chosen applicant will join our growing VIRTUAL law firm. Office workspace is also available for those who prefer it. Our enterprising firm is poised for aggressive growth. We are looking for a litigation attorney who can hit the ground running, or learn quickly, and handle a variety of real estate litigation cases including unlawful detainer. We provide an outstanding experience and career growth potential for an attorney with 3 or more years of litigation experience who has a genuine interest in real estate. Clients are real estate investors and real estate professionals. Ideal candidates will have significant experience in civil litigation – unlawful detainer experience is a plus. Experience with lending and real estate transactions is also desirable, but not necessary. Knowledge of mortgage lending, title, escrow, and other real estate building blocks help bring an applicant to the top of the stack. Experience handling depositions, discovery, law, and motion practice is required. A desire to handle trial work is essential, and training will be provided. We are looking for an A-team player who can handle direct contact with clients and opposing counsel. Candidates need to have strong skills in the following areas: research, writing, courtroom presentation, the ability to communicate with clients, and use technology. We need a grinder who wants to build their real estate practice and litigation experience. We practice throughout Southern California. Some travel within California may be required. A signing bonus will be awarded to the chosen applicant. Skills and experience are appreciated and valued, and certainly considered, but your personality, character, intelligence, and integrity are also extremely important to us. You must be licensed to practice law in California and have at least three years of experience practicing law. Salary is commensurate with skill and experience. As a closing sentence please write, “I have read the instructions contained in the job posting and have followed the instructions.”  Responsibilities: • Investigate real estate problems using public records and other resources and assist clients with real estate strategy • Prepare demand letters, notices, and initial pleadings to initiate legal claims on behalf of clients • Manage real estate litigation cases, including unlawful detainer and fraud cases • Research, prepare and file required motions, meet court deadlines, attend hearings, and keep calendar appointments • Take and defend depositions • Prepare and present civil and unlawful detainer cases at trial • Develop a strategic approach for each case • Provide leadership and direction to paralegals and legal assistants • Cultivate relationships with the firm’s staff and existing and future clients Qualifications: • Licensed to practice law in California for at least 3-5 years • Civil litigation experience is necessary, and real estate experience or great interest is an advantage • Trial experience is highly valued, preferably civil trials including residential and commercial real estate and unlawful detainer • The ability to work from home Compensation: $85,000 yearly
