We are seeking an associate with experience representing landlords in unlawful detainer litigation to join our growing VIRTUAL law firm. We are not your typical small law firm. Our law firm is poised for aggressive growth. We’re looking for an attorney who can hit the ground running to give our landlord clients outstanding representation. Ideal candidates will have significant experience in general civil litigation – specifically, unlawful detainer litigation and real estate fraud litigation. Experience with real estate transactions is a plus, as well as title curative and other real estate matters. We are looking for a team player willing to take ownership of a client's case involving direct contact with clients and opposing counsel, drafting pleadings, conducting discovery, handling depositions, and trial presentation. You need to have strong skills in the following areas: research, writing, courtroom presentation, the ability to communicate with clients, and use technology. We need a grinder who wants to build litigation experience. We practice throughout Southern California, some travel is required. You will likely see many of the cities and hubs the lovely Southern California region has to offer. Skills and experience are appreciated and valued, and certainly considered, but your personality, character, intelligence, and integrity are also extremely important to us. It’s a long way to the top if you want to rock-n-roll, and we definitely expect that you will put in the work necessary to achieve outstanding results for our clients. High-maintenance, humorless, self-entitled, or self-important individuals will not succeed in this position and need not apply. If you think trial experience means you are too good to scan a document or return emails, you will not be happy here. If you are looking for a career as a real estate litigator, and growth appeals to you, we look forward to reviewing your resume. Please follow these instructions. APPLICATIONS THAT DO NOT FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED. Prepare a cover letter with no more than two paragraphs and a single closing sentence.
