Job Description
SUMMARY
The Training Supervisor is responsible for developing and implementing the department’s training program for the utilization of new hire training and staff retraining with the intent to build job skills and improve overall work performance. The Training Supervisor is accountable for tracking and documenting mandatory training modules and ensuring team members are informed of changes to department policies, procedures, software, and applicable laws. As part of the management team, is expected to demonstrate effective teamwork and provide excellent guest service consistent with our “Soboba Service Standards.”
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
Create a training program involving specific curriculum that pertains to department job duties and responsibilities.
A flexible schedule is mandatory as team member training will be performed on different shifts.
Will also be required to execute supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws; which include, but are not limited to: interviewing, hiring, training, planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and correcting team members performance; addressing complaints and resolving problems, maintaining team member files, monitoring team member attendance, researching/locating department variances, monitoring overtime, and attending training classes.
Supervisor must be able to perform all duties of a Cashier and not exceed a maximum of 40 hrs. per week.
Ensure all transactions are performed promptly and efficiently while applying positive communication, interpersonal and team skills with internal/external guests at all times.
Provides proper security, accountability, and control of all company assets (i.e. keys, currency, company funds) within an assigned cage, kiosk, and main bank facility.
Ensures compliance with policies and procedures, Gaming Commission regulations, and Internal Controls.
Approve check cashing and cash advance transactions.
Issue, redeem and approve markers for lines of credit.
Complies with BSA/AML, MSB and OFAC regulations.
Maintains excellent grooming and personal conduct according to Soboba Casino Standards.
Direct the operation of the cage/main bank to be in accordance with established policies, procedures, and gaming regulations.
Must be self-directed, self-motivated and demonstrate initiative on a daily basis.
Monitor the overall day-to-day operations within the department.
Other duties as may be assigned at management’s discretion.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES AND REGISTRATION
Ability to obtain and maintain a valid Soboba Tribal Gaming Commission license.
Required to submit to and obtain negative results on all drug and/or alcohol testing.

Exposure to second-hand smoke.

Bloodborne Pathogen Classification 3: The employee will not be assigned duties that will result in exposure to human blood or bodily fluids. The employee will not render medical assistance as part of their job description. No bloodborne pathogens training is required. No hepatitis B vaccination will be offered.
