Position Summary:
The Full-Time Coach’s primary responsibility is to coach a maximum amount of sessions per season and to have a lasting positive impact on each child. The Full-Time Coach is the "go to" coach and will be relied upon perform in any situation: schools, parks, training new coaches and serving as a sub.
Accountability:
LEAD INSTRUCTOR ROLE - Coaching is a pillar of the Soccer Shots experience. As a Full-Time Soccer Shots Coach, you will be required to coach at any Austin area site, per the direction of the Director of Coaching or per the need or absence of another instructor. Any instruction, from 30 - 35 sessions per week, may be required at any given season or time period. The Coach, as all instructors, will be required to upkeep rosters, prepare sessions, communicate with site staff, and drive to any session.
COACHING TRAINING & DEVELOPMENT - The Full-Time Coach will work with the Director of Coaching to assist in the training and development of coaches.
CAMPS - The Full-Time Coach will be required to coach a minimum of 5 days of camps during the year. Seasons/dates TBD.
DEMOS, OPEN HOUSES, SCHOOL FESTIVALS etc.- This position is required to assist with program demos the two weeks prior to the start of the fall season. Additionally, this position will be required to assist as needed with parent meet and greets, showcases and open houses during the seasons.

Required Experience and Education
High School Diploma or GED
Minimum 1 year working with children between ages of 2 - 8 years old
Minimum 1 year youth soccer coaching experience
Soccer enthusiast; loves and honors the game
CPR/First Aid Certified or willing to get certified within 30 days of hire
Pass DFPS and FBI fingerprinting and background checks
Have own reliable transportation and proof of auto insurance
Work Hours:
This is a full-time position requiring coaching a minimum of 30 sessions per week. If the number of coaching sessions falls below 30/week during a season, due to weather-related cancellations, seasonal scheduling etc. this position will provide marketing, administrative and/or coaching support as needed.
The full-time coach is not required to work during the off season with the exception of the functions/tasks listed above (demos, open houses, meet and greets etc.). This time-off allowance may change at the discretion of the owner.
This position will have assigned coach responsibilities each Saturday during the season.
There is no time-off allowed during the season.
Physical/Work Environment Requirements:
Position functions in an inside/outside sports environment a portion of the time throughout the year which may include temperatures of extreme heat or cold.
Work requires ability to run, stop, stoop, bend (a physical, exercise type regimen) in a minimum of 40 minute increments per session. Position requires use of hands, arms, legs and feet and may include lifting up to 50 pounds on occasion. Moderate gymnasium like noises are associated with this position as well as excellent vision skills (with or without correction).
This position requires traveling in and around the greater Austin area.
