    Soccer Shots (5X Austin Chronicle's Best of Austin Winner) is seeking a highly-motivated, detail-oriented, and customer service-focused individual to become our next Program Coordinator in Austin.

    Primary Responsibilities:

    PARENT COMMUNICATION AND CUSTOMER SERVICE MANAGEMENT - The Program Coordinator (PC) will be the key communicator with parents on the phone and via email - managing all customer, parent, and child issues. On weekends, the PC will monitor phones and voicemails remotely, and direct issues to the Director of Coaching or Director of Operations as needed. The PC is responsible for proactively identifying potential enrollment issues, developing a solution and implementing to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.

    MARKETING - The PC will help support program growth through a variety of marketing efforts including: marketing to schools and parks; guerrilla marketing; special marketing campaigns (conceptualization and execution); event planning and attendance (open houses and community events); interacting with park parents; customer service phone calls and check- ins.

    INSTRUCTOR ROLE - The PC is required to coach at any Austin area site, per the direction of the Soccer Shots Director of Operations, or per the need or absence of another instructor. Any instruction, from 1 to 15 sessions per week, may be required at any given season or time period. The PC, as all instructors, will be required to upkeep rosters, prepare sessions, communicate with site staff, and drive to any session.

    SCHOOL MANAGEMENT AND RELATIONSHIPS- The PC, like all team members, will be responsible for the management and relationships of schools currently overseen by the Soccer Shots office and any new sites. Maintaining and enhancing school relationships is a top priority of all employees. School management includes, but not limited to the following: setting up season schedules with school director, scheduling instructor, attending first session of the season when needed, attending open house, etc. The PC is expected to keep a professional and friendly relationship with schools through phone calls, thank you letters, seasonal gifts, etc.

    INSTRUCTOR RECRUITMENT AND HR - The PC will assist the Recruiter and DOC with HR administration.

    Commitment to become a great coach, who has fun, keeps safety in mind, and runs great Soccer Shots sessions.

    Required Experience and Education

    Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience

    Minimum 2 years customer service management experience

    Prior experience managing office operations a plus

    Prior experience working with young children preferred

    Soccer enthusiast; loves and honors the game

    Proficient in MS Office; Mac experience a plus

    CPR/First Aid Certified or willing to get certified within 30 days of hire

    Pass DFPS and FBI fingerprinting and background check

    Have own reliable transportation and proof of auto insurance

    Spanish fluency is a plus

    Work Hours:

    This is a full-time, exempt position. The expected work week is typically Monday - Friday with the understanding that during the seasons, expected working hours will vary and may include working Saturday mornings and some weekday evenings. Weekends will include remotely monitoring phones/voicemails and directing any urgent issues to the Director of Coaching and/or the Director of Operations.

    Physical/Work Environment Requirements:

    Functions in a temperature controlled office environment the majority of the time.

    Work requires ability to sit, stand and walk throughout an extended work day (8 – 10 hours); position requires use of fingers, hands and arms on a consistent basis for keyboarding and phone work; position may need to lift up to 50 pounds on occasion; excellent vision skills (with or without correction) are required. The standard office environment has moderate noise levels associated with computer equipment, customers and phone conversations.

    Position functions occasionally in an inside/outside sports environment a portion of the time throughout the year which may include temperatures of extreme heat or cold.

    Work requires ability to run, stop, stoop, bend (a physical, exercise type regimen) in a minimum of 40 minute increments per coaching session. Position requires use of hands, arms, legs and feet and may include lifting up to 50 pounds on occasion. Moderate gymnasium like noises are associated with this position as well as excellent vision skills (with or without correction).

    This position requires occasional driving in and around the Austin area to assist with marketing efforts.
