Stronger Youth Beyond The Game

Our motto has a clear meaning on the surface; we emphasize character development in the midst of our sessions so our players are learning more than just soccer skills. Our coaches are often the first people the players learn to take instructions from outside of their parents – so they’re developing socially as well. Our cause doesn’t stop there either! Do you have a heart for reaching kids in underserved communities? Soccer Shots is always on the lookout for ways to involve underprivileged youth in our programs by sponsoring kids. Every child should have the opportunity to have fun and grow in a positive environment. Would you agree? When we said “abroad” before, it meant we take this to heart even further by supporting an outreach group dedicated to helping street children in Ethiopia. Your efforts as a coach honestly contribute to ALL of this directly and indirectly by facilitating our growth. As a Soccer Shots Coach, you’ll be working with the best in the business, utilizing an incredible age-appropriate curriculum, and enacting your leadership skills and passion. All of those factors have contributed to making Soccer Shots the #1 Children’s fitness franchise in the country. As you can imagine, working with children is not something we take lightly, and it’s imperative that you not only enjoy working with children, but that you are deeply enthusiastic about it. Sure, we want you to have some soccer skills and to be familiar with the game, but more importantly, can you handle a group of 12 three year olds? This is what truly separates Soccer Shots from everyone else - we are in this to impact children in such a way that we leave a lasting impression on them that will give them the confidence to be successful both on and off the field. Essential Job Tasks

Ready to be part of an expanding team of instructors and help accommodate our growth? We operate in daycares, preschools, community centers, etc... all over Broome, Chenango, Tioga Counties and more. There are sessions running Monday through Friday, with some Park Programs launching in the evenings and Saturday mornings. Scheduling is somewhat flexible; meaning that if there are certain mornings or afternoons where you aren’t available, we may be able to work around them. However, once your schedule is set with us, it won’t change for the season. You’ll oversee the same classes week-to-week in order to build bonds with the children, figure out unique ways to make each class a success by those players ‘where they’re at’, and compound the impact you’re having throughout the season. Success hinges on your steadfast commitment for the entire season.

We are currently hiring to start training in our Winter season and move into a full time workload in the Spring of 2020. We're hiring now so we can use the next several weeks to train you, bring you on board, and have you observe other coaches as we prepare for the next season.

Soccer Shots Coaches SCORE:

Safety-conscious: whose #1 priority is the safety of children under their care.

Caring: engaging with each child through specific and positive affirmation.

Organized: who plan ahead and are systematic in routine, conducting each session according to the lesson plan and working with children to maintain appropriate order for the age group.

Responsible: committing to do what is expected of them as the coach and "face" of Soccer Shots.

Energetic: bringing Soccer Shots to life by creating a fun and exciting atmosphere that prompts a child to smile and participate.

In addition to the above, a successful candidate must pass a Child Abuse History Clearance and Background Check.
