    DESCRIPTION

    Soccer Shots NYC Central is actively seeking a part time coaching coordinator to support the coaching operations of Brooklyn and Manhattan school and public programs. It takes a staff of passionate and remarkable individuals who are excited about working with young children and pursuing excellence season after season. The desired candidate is organized, an exceptional communicator and wants to be an integral part of a team that allows them to personally learn & grow while being rewarded for their performance.     About Soccer Shots:

    Soccer Shots is the leader in youth soccer development for children ages 2-8. Our nationally recognized program offers a high energy, fun, age-appropriate introduction to the wonderful game of soccer. Our innovative curriculum emphasizes both soccer skills and character development. Our goal is simple: to leave a lasting, positive impact on every child we serve.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    Coaching 5-10 hours each week

    Representing Soccer Shots at events and coordinating

    Upkeep of the attendance system

    Manage equipment, distribution to partners & coaches, and inventory

    Support the director of coaching

    REQUIREMENTS

    1-3 years experience in coaching children 2-8

    Previous experience and/or knowledge with the sport of soccer (preferably both coaching & playing but not required)

    Team player that also is able to work well independently to meet multiple demands

    Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

    Effective organizational/administrative skills

    Computer/application skills (Google & Microsoft office suite: Excel, Word, PPT etc.)

    Must be available for either Saturday or Sunday morning for weekend class coordination
