Soccer Shots in Baltimore Washington is hiring for a Coaching Manager to oversee their coaching department in the North region (Baltimore County, Baltimore City, Harford County, Carroll County, Frederick County, and Howard County). This role drives culture in their region, elevates the standards of coaching among 20+ coaches, innovates development processes to ensure coaches are continually growing.

Soccer Shots COUS (Company Owned Units or COUS) was established in 2010. COUS covers the regions of DC, Maryland, Northern Virginia, Miami, New York City Central, NY, and Nashville, TN. Soccer Shots Baltimore-Washington stretches from Harford County, MD to Prince William County, VA. Soccer Shots DMV offices are in Laurel, MD, and Fairfax, VA. Soccer Shots Tennessee covers North and South Nashville. Soccer Shots Miami covers Miami-Dade and Broward Counties. COUS works closely with Soccer Shots Franchising national headquarters in Middletown, PA.

REPORTS TO: Director of Talent Development & Culture
OBJECTIVES: This role will be asked to perform the following functions:
Coaching, Training, and Staff Leadership
Implement the company’s high standard for coaching, and develop a team of high performing coaches
Assist in the recruitment of coaches, interview process for prospective coaches, on-boarding for new coaches, performance assessment, and development of coaches. Ensure
Create the schedule and execute seasonal evaluations on all coaches
Ensure all coaches complete our training process
Responsible for creating a culture representative of Soccer Shots Core Values within the team
Responsible for schedule completion for each season (online registration & calendars)
Appropriately prepare staff needs for upcoming season, and forecast needs for future seasons
Coach sessions based on business need
Manage/supervise full-time staff, part-time coaches, and/or interns
Responsible for planning, preparing, and executing the seasonal coaches meetings
Create and develop processes that enhance the Coaching Department
Administration
Responsible for approving coordinators & coach’s payroll and time off requests
Collaborate with Human Resources Department to ensure compliance with coaches
Manage equipment, gear, and supplies
Execute start weeks and in-season responsibilities
Marketing
Responsible for running program demos, distributing registration forms and brochures, hanging lobby and classroom posters, and in-school displays, distributing final reminders, placing bandit signs, and promoting public programs
Communicate with parents, directors, and other partners as needed
Represent Soccer Shots at industry events, open houses, etc.
Sales/Growth
Provide leads in the territory served
Optimize coaching resources to increase yield at partner sites
WORKING HOURS/LOCATION/SCHEDULE:
The job description above is a full-time, exempt position requiring a minimum 40 hours of work per week. Your weekly agenda and schedule will be assigned by your supervisor. Many Soccer Shots programs run weeknights & weekends, however work schedule is based on a weekend rotation schedule. Typical work schedule would require working one weekend per month. During busy seasons (Spring and Fall), you may be required to work more than one weekend per month based on business need.

For Soccer Shots to have a reputation of excellence. An objective measure of each territory’s reputation for quality will be learned in the Net Promoter Score survey conducted at the end of each season
To be a Top 10% franchise in participant registration and revenue (in category) and per capita rating and to meet and exceed seasonal and annual enrollment and revenue goals

Prompt, reliable, and professional communication—responds immediately to customers (parents, directors, staff), and always responds to supervisor and other Soccer Shots support staff within 24 hours.

Meet seasonal performance goals. Go above and beyond company expectations to sell, promote and market our program prior to each season
Provide excellent customer service by communicating through newsletters to parents, and phone calls/visits with center directors
Adhere to all company policies and represent Soccer Shots with professionalism and integrity
Hire, train, and manage a staff of coaches who will uphold a standard of excellence and create a positive reputation for Soccer Shots

PERFORMANCE EVALUATIONS AND REVIEWS:
Performance will be reviewed after the first 60 days of employment
Objectives of the position and company expectations will be reviewed quarterly through a meeting with supervisor
Soccer Shots will perform an annual review in June and December of each calendar year
