Sports Management Paid Internship

Overview: Soccer Shots is an engaging intro-to-soccer program fueled by coaches who are driven to impact children’s lives in a positive way. Our program focuses on age-appropriate soccer skills, character development, and fun in every session. As an intern you will assist in the managing of the organization as well as coaching.

Responsibilities: Data Entry, Equipment Management, Data Tracking, Advertising, Coaching, coach preparation, and other administrative support as needed. 50% of the internship will be coaching. This will give the intern experience coaching youth as well as deal with parents and directors.

Requirements: Qualifications and skills needed (relevant education, experience, passion for soccer, driver’s license, own reliable vehicle, and insurance.

Duration and Hours: 20 hours per week minimum. Not to exceed 30 hours any week.

Location: Des Moines, surrounding areas, and remote work

Compensation: $10 an hour for admin and $18 per 30 minutes coached.

OBTAINING ACADEMIC/COLLEGE CREDIT

This internship experience may or may not already be an approved academic credit internship with your school. Please make sure to notify us immediately if vou are seeking academic credit at vour school for this experience. With your help, Soccer Shots will work directly with your school's registrar, academic advisor, or internship department to help you achieve academic credit for this internship experience.

Internship positions are available for the following time periods:

Winter Season- mid- December through mid-March

Spring Season-mid-February/early March through May

Summer season- mid-May through mid-August

Fall season – mid-August/September through November
