We are looking to hire a photography intern for the winter/spring of 2022 season, and the internship will last from January - May. Soccer Shots is continuing to make a significant impact in Chattanooga, and below are some of the responsibilities you may be involved with during the winter/spring 2022 photography internship.

· Developing a weekly schedule for taking photographs at Childcare Centers and Preschools

· Photographing special events for parents and staff

· Photographing Birthday Parties

· Content for Social Media

Academic and Experiential Objectives

The student intern will be required to handle and present him/herself in a professional manner, consistently arriving on time to assigned office hours and events. Assignments may be given to you according to your availability.

Obtaining Academic/College Credit

This internship experience may or may not already be an approved academic credit internship with your school. Please make sure to notify us immediately if you are seeking academic credit through your school for this experience. With your help, Soccer Shots will work directly with your school’s registrar, academic advisor, or internship department to help you achieve academic credit for this internship experience.

Responsibilities (can include but are not limited to)

Leadership/Management:

Interaction with schools, parents, and Soccer Shots staff regarding taking photography and/or videos

Administrative/Support:

Create promotional photo materials for Instagram, facebook and newsletter

Organization of photos in a database for Soccer Shots

Create schedule to go to all childcare centers, preschools, and public locations

Goals & Evaluation method

A performance evaluation will occur at the conclusion of the first term and at the conclusion of the internship placement. The evaluation will consider the following general areas of professional operations, and specific intern goals within each area

Continuing formal and informal supervision will occur between the intern and the onsite supervisors. Clear and open communication will occur on an ongoing and as needed basis.

Internship Structure and Compensation:

The Soccer Shots photography internship will encompass a minimum of 180 hours over a 15-16 week period. The intern will have a flexible schedule. Most photography will need to be done between 9am-12pm, 1-4pm, and 5pm-7pm. The hours you work may change from week to week.

The intern will be compensated $10 for administrative hours worked but NOT hours worked photographing. The intern will be able to submit his/her photography business, or photography website, to us for parents to purchase photos through. Photos will NOT be free for parents. We will promote your business and/or website on our social media platforms.

There will be an ability to photograph public locations as well, and those will take place mainly Monday-Thursday from 4pm-6pm and Saturday 9am-12pm.
